File privacy and limits

Very large PDFs can still be slow because your browser has to do the work. For a smoother experience, use smaller files when possible and always check the downloaded result before sharing it.

When PNG to JPG conversion makes sense

PNG is excellent for screenshots, graphics, transparent logos, and sharp interface images. JPG is usually better for photos, large uploads, and places where file size matters. If your PNG is too large for email, a form, or a website upload, converting it to JPG can make it easier to share.

The main tradeoff is transparency. JPG cannot keep transparent backgrounds, so the converter asks for a background color. Use white for documents and forms, or choose a color that matches the page where the image will be used. If you need to keep transparency, keep the PNG or use HTML to PNG for web captures.

How to avoid blurry text after converting

Screenshots and text-heavy images can lose sharpness if the JPG quality is too low. For receipts, forms, app screenshots, certificates, or image-based notes, choose a higher quality setting and open the downloaded file before sharing. Small text should still be readable at normal zoom.

If the PNG is a document scan, consider turning it into a PDF with PNG to PDF instead of converting it to JPG. PDF is easier to print, combine, sign, watermark, and submit as a document. JPG is better when the destination specifically asks for an image file.

Common uses for PNG to JPG

People convert PNG to JPG for job applications, marketplace product photos, profile pictures, website uploads, email attachments, and online forms. It is also useful when a mobile app rejects PNG even though the image itself looks fine.

After converting, check both the file size and the image quality. If the JPG is still too large, use JPG Compressor for a second step. If several converted images belong together, use JPG to PDF to package them into one clean document.

For logos, icons, and transparent graphics, keep a copy of the original PNG even after creating a JPG version. That original file may be needed later when a transparent or sharper graphic is required.
